LA LA Land

Just came back from a whirlwind trip from Los Angeles.  It was a solo one since Adam had taken a lot of days off from work the past couple of months he didn't want to miss anymore.  

I was in town to celebrate my nephew-to-be.  The first in our little family.  We are so happy.

I also got to see a lot of people.  I have friends who want to see me! haha

It was a busy and fun trip.  I love LA (but just to visit).

Winter #5

It is getting really cold in Michigan.  I do the same post every year, huh?

I can't believe this is my fifth winter in Michigan.  I think I can spot snow clouds.  Does this make me an official michigander?  

Adam is heading to a conference in Florida this weekend so not sure how I am going to spend my time.   Watch a ton of girly movies?  Also, I have a fear of sleeping alone in a house and it will be my first time in the new house.  I'm scared.

I just got back from a quick trip to Los Angeles. This was a good trip. People wanted to hang out with me! I actually have friends!

I thought Adam would have a great time catching up on reading and TV back in Michigan. He ended up working too much and he missed me. Can you believe it?

Whenever I go home on my own, I don't want to leave.  I even got a little teary-eyed at the airport. I wish home was a little closer (but not too close). :)

I'm a bit of Sofia Coppola-file.  I like her style, her films, and I especially like this photo of her bedroom.

I've always wanted a projector in the home to watch movies or to have screenings in the backyard.  We've had one successful screening of Blue Velvet.  I totally want to have more screening/parties.

Home Alone

i have issues if you didn't already know that.  adam is heading to a conference in ohio this evening.  i usually tag along but i have a presentation tomorrow so i can't go with him. last time adam and i were apart was in 2009 (when i went to japan with my family). i have never slept in a house by myself. i'm totally scared. wish me luck. :)

adam is super excited about this trip. a little too excited..
