Winter #5

It is getting really cold in Michigan.  I do the same post every year, huh?

I can't believe this is my fifth winter in Michigan.  I think I can spot snow clouds.  Does this make me an official michigander?  

Adam is heading to a conference in Florida this weekend so not sure how I am going to spend my time.   Watch a ton of girly movies?  Also, I have a fear of sleeping alone in a house and it will be my first time in the new house.  I'm scared.  

mexico

our christmas was spent in mexico at an adults-only resort. it was super relaxing and fun.  here are a few photos from our trip.

many margarita's and pina collada's were consumed, emily griffin novels (?) read (four!) and a celebrity sighting (Brad G. from Rachel Zoe Project).

from the suhs!

the suh's always send thoughtful gifts for christmas. this year the mailed us this salad spoon & fork + dressing mixing bowl (in a shape of a planter) and a gourmet salad garden. we don't eat enough salads and maybe this will encourage us to do better. new years resolution?

adam and i are pretty bad with plants (maybe just me 'cause he's watering the christmas tree everyday). i hope we can grow the gourmet lettuce seeds. wish me luck!

christmas tree 2011

since moving to mount pleasant,  we have been going to a local farm and cutting our own tree.  adam started feeling bad so this year we decided to buy a fake tree. i wanted a miniature pink plastic tree from target.  adam wanted a six foot fake tree. we couldn't agree so we bought a real tree again this year. 

it smells really nice in our house.

p.s. adam is listening to xmas music and getting into the spirit. i am working on my final (doing terribly).

this special map comes with pins so you can tack where you've been  (includes a red pin for headquarters and blue pin for next target and 200 black pins for destinations). 

i think it is a nice gift for adam (or is it for me?) for christmas.  $180 might be slightly out of reach. what do you think?

celebrities

i hoped that i would see someone famous. we saw tila tequila at LAX. then tom arnold was on our plane to maui. next day we ate lunch near nicky hilton and family. yesterday, adam and i hung out at the beach for a little bit before dinner. some people were having a conversation right next to our chairs. i look over and it's paris hilton's dad and boyfriend. then i see paris. i notice that she matches her sunnies to her swimsuit. the picture below is the day we saw her.

i hope when we are in la we will see someone more of my liking and not d-listers. :)

warm weather...

by this time next week we will be in hawaii... i've missed you beach..

tree shopping

last weekend we went shopping for a christmas tree. there is a tree farm a few miles from our house called Schaeffer's tree farm. We bought our tree from them last year too.

yea, i notice everything.  like when we went to the pumpkin patch i saw a dead mouse on the ground.  i wish i wasn't so observant.

we won't be able to enjoy the tree too long so we got a small one.

le crueset heart casserole. what will i use it for? not sure but i will. adam says i'm a gourmet chef now. :)

looking for a lens. what's a good one to start off with?

i want the camera part. i don't need an iphone yet but a fourth ipod would be neccesary?

i'm boosting the economy. that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it.

we got a package from adam's sister today. wow!

we received a christmas package from adam's uncle and aunt from Maud. i think she made these peanut brittle from scratch. i had a few but i'm sure adam won't notice. :)

she also sent me some towels that say, "ho ho ho." is she implying something?

christmas flights

adam is currently looking for our flights from michigan to miami to oklahoma to new york to michigan. this is going to be one expensive holiday...
